Use of 2010 Resource DVD
There has been some confusion on how to use the Resource DVD distributed at the 2010 district NMI conventions in the U.S.A. and Canada. We apologize that we did not make it clearer. The DVDs will only work in computers with DVD readers. They will not work on computers that only have CD readers or in DVD players.
We regret the inconvenience.
NMI Web Buttons
Now, along with all the other NMI graphics available, there are “buttons” that can be placed on your Web site. They can be found at NMI
Resources -> Download -> Logos & Graphics. Click HERE.

The buttons will look best on backgrounds other than white. If you need something similar for print, we have a larger version that will print very clearly.
As a reminder, “The Cross—the Seize it, Share it” was for the last
quadrennium. Please update newsletters and Web sites with the
new graphics.
Cali Revival Set for FallThe annual fall conference at the Cali Church of the Nazarene in Colombia will be September 23-26, 2010. Pastors and NMI leaders from around the world are invited to the event entitled “The Master’s Plan—Open Skies.” For more information, see the announcement in this issue of Mission Connection, or go to www.the-masters-plan.org (while the site is in Spanish, there is a link to translate the site at the top of the page).
What It Takes to Be a JFHP Ambassador
ambassador \am-ˈba-sə-dər\ n : 1 : an official envoy 2 a : an authorized representative or messenger b : an unofficial representative (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, 11th ed.)
Take this short true or false quiz to see if you would be a good ambassador:

- I think more people should have an opportunity to participate in the Great Commission.
T or F
- I am willing to talk with others about work that is reaching those who don’t
know Christ.

If you answered “true” to most of these questions, you might be a good JESUS Film Harvest Partners (JFHP) Ambassador. The JFHP Ambassador program is designed to engage others in the JFHP ministry through a variety of activities and partnership investment opportunities. Sharing with friends and family, Ambassadors volunteer their time and energy talk about the amazing evangelistic work God is doing through the JESUS Film around the world. Ambassadors respond daily to opportunities presented through the work of the Holy Spirit, resulting in new participants engaging in the JFHP ministry.
Local, distriict, and regional Ambassadors are needed. To find out more about Ambassadors, contact John Cunningham at jcunningham@JFHP.org or 816-694-2684.

Need to Read or Write Something in Another Language?“Hola. Lo que un momento emocionante para participar en misiones a través de nuestros misioneros que no hablan Inglés!” Or in English “Hello. What an exciting time to participate in missions through our missionaries who do not speak English!”
I do not speak or write any other language, but I typed a message and then went to www.translate.google.com. I chose “Translate from English to Spanish” and communicated in Spanish. To see if they translated my message correctly, I copied my Spanish line and asked Google to translate it into English and received an English version very close to what was originally written.
When computer translations first came out, they left a lot to be desired. But today, I communicate with our Brazilian brothers and sisters (in Portuguese), our Haitian family (in French), and so many people in Spanish-speaking areas. I do usually preface that I am using Google Translate in case the translation is not the most grammatically correct. Communicating through Google Translate is exciting.

2010 World Watch Prayer Guide AvailableThe 2010 World Watch Prayer Guide is full of ways you can engage our persecuted brothers and sisters in prayer. You may download the prayer guide free at Open Doors USA Web site (link above).
Persecuted Christians need your prayer, but the greater issue is that most people aren't aware that persecution takes place. Also share the e-newsletter with a friend or family member and help open their eyes to the reality of persecution.
My prayer over the next few months is that you discover a renewed passion for shining Christ's light in a dark world and that you connect with our persecuted brothers and sisters in a deep way.

Earlier this month Caribbean Regional Director John Smee announced his retirement, effective July 1, 2010.
